USA Wrestling
USA Wrestling (TheMat.com) is a great resource for all things wrestling including contemporary articles, free style and Greco rules, and international event results. It is also the place you will need to go in order to attain a USA Wrestling card (required to wrestle in most off season Folk Style, Free Style or Greco tournaments). For parents that wish to receive a coach's card, this is also the site you will need to visit.
Track Wrestling
Track Wrestling is where you will need to go in order to search for and register for non high school wrestling tournaments (e.g., off season, free style & Greco). It is also where you can follow many local or national tournaments in real-time. There are several Washington high school tournaments that use Track Wrestling so, if you have friends or family members that will not be able to attend a tournaments but would like to track your progress online, this can be a great resource.
Washington Wrestling Report
This site, operated by Dave Gilbertson, is a great resource for tracking team and individual rankings across all divisions. The site also does a good job of tracking dual and tournament results from across the state. Finally, the site also has a good message board for athletes, family members and fans that are interested in plugging into the broader Washing wrestling community.
WIAA (Wrestling Page)
The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) is a private, nonprofit service organization and rule-making body for high school sports teams in Washington. The Association consists of nearly 800 member high schools and middle/junior high schools, both public and private, and is divided into nine geographic service districts. The wrestling site has a lot of information regarding rules, tournaments, conferences, etc. It is also the best source for information for the annual Mat Classic!
Snoqualmie Valley Wrestling Club
The SVWC is an all volunteer wrestling organization that focuses on the development of youth wrestlers with the goal of feeding Mt. Si High School with a steady stream of talented freshmen athletes. The club also works closely with the local middle school wrestling programs. The parent coaches from SVWC work with the Mt. Si coaching staff to offer off season training opportunities for the high school athletes that wish to put in some extra mat time between other sports, etc.
